Colossians 2:9

Though Paul had not met most of the Colossian Christians, they had become dear to him. Their pastor, Epaphras, had reported to Paul the Colossians’ spiritual state and welfare.

In this letter, the Apostle greets these brethren with love and proceeds to demonstrate to them the glory of Jesus Christ – “Who is the image of the invisible God” Colossians 1:15. In some of the most wonderful passages of the New Testament Paul expounds one of the major pillars of Christian doctrine, the Deity of Jesus our Lord.

In the remainder of the letter the Apostle teaches on the Cross, the Atonement, the status of believers before God, holy living, family life and Christian ministry.
